Calculate friction head loss for water piping and displays the associated results at the desired water temperature. The Colebrook-White equation is solved utilizing an iterative algorithm to find the coefficient of friction. The Darcy-Weisbach equation is used to determine the head loss for the associated friction factor. Calculator works in both Metric and Imperial units and has the ability to convert between the two unit systems. The water density and viscosity is automatically calculated from built-in functions that allow for substantial time savings vs conventional methods. Program provides hints and related information to help the user complete the input fields correctly. The required inputs are as follows:TemperatureFlowrateAbsolute RoughnessInternal Pipe DiameterPipe Length
The program outputs the following information:
Friction FactorKinematic ViscosityReynold's NumberWater DensityHead LossPressure Loss (@ water density)
The program is valid for water temperature range: 32F (0C) - 212F (100C)The range for the Absolute Roughness is user defined for values greater than 0.1
